Born out of a love for Monty Python (The Ministry of Silly Walks) and the artwork of Terry Gilliam in particular, all things magic, trickster archetypes, and The Fool. By day The Ministry serves as an art studio where jewelry, art, papier-mâché and mischief are made. The Ministry of Fools also serves as a perpetual reminder to never take ourselves too seriously.

My work is about movement. Each piece has its own animation and flow, foregoing symbolism to express life captured in action. I work in wood because I am drawn to the depth, warmth, and soul characteristic of the material. By taking the familiar element of furniture and houses and shaping it in an abstract, novel, and dynamic way, I aim to challenge and rejuvenate the viewer's preconceptions of the medium.
